The ICN Leadership Centre brings together ICN's leadership, learning and development opportunities for nurses and nursing organizations worldwide. It reflects our belief that learning and leadership are inseparable: we learn when we lead, and we lead because of what we have learned. Through internationally recognized leadership programmes, crisis leadership initiatives and the new ICN Learning Hub, the Centre supports nurses at every stage of their professional journey, providing opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and influence needed to strengthen nursing, improve health systems and advance health for all.

The innovative and acclaimed Global Nursing Leadership Institute (GNLI)™ is a strategic policy leadership programme focused on strengthening your political and policy understanding and influence.
Established in 1995, the ICN LFC programme aims to prepare nurses with the leadership skills that are required to implement organisational change for the purpose of improving nursing practice and achieving better health outcomes.
Leadership in Crisis Response and Recovery for Ukraine is a dynamic training funded by Nurses for Peace. It aims to equip mid-career and senior nurses with leadership skills to address challenges posed by conflict and healthcare shortages.
ODENNA is an ICN project designed as a next-level assessment, leadership and mentorship programme for national nursing associations wanting to increase their influence, sustainability and advocacy to meet ever-escalating demands.

ICN launches first ever ODENNA™ LatAm programme strengthening nursing associations across Latin America
Last week, the International Council of Nurses (ICN) officially launched the inaugural cohort of its Organizational Development of National Nursing Associations (ODENNA™) LatAm programme, supported by BD. The programme unites Latin American nursing leaders in a transformational journey to strengthen the leadership, governance and organizational capacity of National Nursing Associations (NNAs) across the region.

Ukrainian nurses graduate from first-ever ICN leadership programme delivered in active warzone
The International Council of Nurses (ICN) today marked a major milestone in nursing leadership education and humanitarian support, celebrating the first cohort to complete the Nursing Leadership for Crisis Response and Recovery (NLCRR) programme in Ukraine. The closing ceremony was a testament to the extraordinary resilience and capability of the 23 Ukrainian nurse leaders who completed the programme, the first that ICN has delivered in an active conflict zone.

ICN and BD Foundation Empower Nursing Leadership Across Latin America
The International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the BD Foundation, the philanthropic arm of global medical technology company BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), today announced they are expanding the reach of ICN’s Organizational Development of National Nursing Associations (ODENNA) programme to Latin America in 2026. Through this deepened collaboration, ICN and the BD Foundation aim to strengthen nursing leadership and organizational development in new regions.
